PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY
The main goal at Grace Community Church is to make & nurture disciples of Christ. Although many ministries and activities of the church meet in homes and at other various locations, we believe that the corporate gathering of the church is a critical component to the growth and encouragement of the body. It has become evident that our current facilities no longer support the Sunday morning worship services and ministries that are vital to the life of our church. Therefore, the goal of this project is not simply to expand our facility, but rather to expand our trellis and allow for more opportunities for corporate worship and ministry.
CURRENT NEEDS
Over the last few years, we have observed significant growth in our membership and regular attendees at Grace. We praise the Lord for the growth He has provided, both numerically and spiritually. With growth comes a significant need for additional space in the following locations: Children's Ministry, hallway and foyer space, additional restrooms, office space, and additional parking.
SCOPE OF PROJECT
Our largest area of growth within the church and thus the area that is most in need of expansion is our Children's Ministry. Therefore, the main focus of Phase 3 is building a dedicated and secure Children's Ministry wing. Along with this wing, we also plan to meet some of the other needs listed above. Features of Phase 3 are listed below:
- Dedicated Children's Ministry space, to include:
- Sizeable check-in area
- 15 classrooms
- Infant care room
- Dedicated Children's Ministry restrooms
- Resource room
- Additional adult bathrooms, including a family restroom
- Additional parking

TIMELINE OF PROJECT
In July 2024, the elders presented Phase 3 to GCC. After receiving overwhelming support from the congregation, we worked with ministry leaders and our builder, Summit Structures, to develop a final floorplan. This floorplan was finalized in January 2025. This floorplan was presented to the church on February 9, 2025 and approved by the church on February 18, 2025.
We signed a contract with Summit Structures on February 19, 2025, anticipate breaking ground in June 2025, and desire project completion in October 2026.
PROJECT COST
Phase 3 has an estimated cost of $3,374,610.
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
As mentioned above, our goal in this project is to expand our trellis and to provide more opportunties for corporate worship and ministries. Although Phase 3 will be a significant step forward in achieving our long-term goals for our facility, we have additional needs for future renovation and expansion as well as desires to continue to invest in existing ministries. The goal of the capital campaign is to reduce our loan amount. This will allow us to expand our trellis in the following ways:
- Move forward with Phase 4 (see below for details).
- Provide more flexibility to expand and fund existing ministries.
- Relieve pressure from the general budget to meet increasing facility expenses.
- Hire an additional staff member.
Campaign Timeline: The campaign began on September 29, 2024 and will run until the expansion is complete. Upon completion, we will know our total loan amount, and all giving towards this campaign will have lowered that amount. Once the campaign is complete, there will still remain an opportunity to give to pay off the remainder of our loan.
Current amount raised in capital campaign: $77,554 *AS OF 3.23.25

- Option 2: submit a check in our offering box or via mail (write "Legacy of Grace" or "Facility Expansion" in the memo line)
FUTURE PHASES
Phase 4
- Phase 4 will be an interior renovation of some of our current space. This will open up square footage and relieve congestion in our current layout. Phase 4 will remove the current nursery (infant-2 YO) area and potentially relocate the kitchen. It will also include a rearrangement and renovation of our current office space.
- Our desire is to move forward with Phase 4 as soon as Phase 3 is complete.
- 3D renderings for Phase 4 are coming soon.
Phase 5
- Phase 5 will be the addition of a new auditorium, which will be located on the north side of the new Children's Ministry wing. Our desire is that this new auditorium will have sufficient space to allow us to move back to one Sunday morning worship service.
- 3D renderings for Phase 5 are coming soon.
