BAPTISM

Baptism is a significant step for identifying with both the Lord’s universal and local body (Mt 28:19-20).  If you are considering baptism or are interested to learn what we teach and practice regarding baptism, we encourage you to attend one of our baptism classes.  This class is offered several times throughout the year during the Sunday morning Sunday School hour (10 AM).  Attending the class does not obligate you to pursue baptism.  Anyone desiring to be baptized at GCC, however, must complete the following steps:

  • Attend one of our baptism classes.  2025 classes are tentatively scheduled for April 20, August 24, and December 14. 
  • Attend one of our Foundations of Grace membership classes (see below).   
  • Submit an "Application for Baptism and/or Membership". You will receive a link to the application at the conclusion of the class. 
  • Meet with a church elder to discuss your application and personal testimony.
  • Participate in one of our baptism services.

MEMBERSHIP

Determining the right church family to join is a significant decision warranting much prayer and biblical guidance. If you are considering membership at GCC, we encourage you to attend our Foundations of Grace membership class.  This class is offered several times throughout the year and is typically conducted on four consecutive Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour (10 AM). Also, if you are new to GCC and are simply interested in learning more about the ministries of our church, Foundations of Grace will provide a helpful perspective on both the church’s philosophy and application of ministry. Attending the class does not obligate you to join the church. Anyone desiring to become a member of the church, however, must complete the following steps:

  • Attend one of our Foundations of Grace membership classes.  2025 classes are tentatively scheduled for January, May, and September.  
  • Read the following: Statement of FaithWhat We TeachBylaws and Membership Covenant.
  • Submit an "Application for Baptism and/or Membership". You will receive a link to the application at the conclusion of the class.  
  • Meet with a church elder to discuss your application and personal testimony.
  • Participate in one of our membership recognition services.
